Accompanying Documents when filing PIO Application

  • The following documents are necessary for filing PIO Application:

    • Proof of Indian Origin (like passport copies of parents/grandparents/great grandparents or Government/educational institution's papers or ID cards etc.

    • 4 Coloured photographs in light background. ( Size 4 cms X 4 cms ).

    • Original passport along with photocopy.

    • Original residential permit along with photocopy.

    • Marriage certificate in case spouse is a foreigner.

    NOTE:

    - Payment of fees (CHF 679 for adults and CHF 342 for minors upto the age of 18 years) to be made after the documents are perused and approved by the Consulate General.
    - Fee to be deposited in Consulate General of India, Geneva Account: CCP Ac. No - 12 - 10232 - 9
    - Issuance of PIO Card is at the discretion of the concerned authorities and the time taken would depend on the scrutiny involved.
